ABOUT:

Seamus Mullen is an award-winning chef, entrepreneur, best-selling author and internationally recognized leading authority on health and wellness. By his early 30’s, he had risen to the top of the culinary world, a 3 time James Beard finalist for “Best Chef New York City” and a finalist for the coveted James Beard Award “Best New Restaurant.”  Seamus owned and operated several critically acclaimed restaurants in New York City when his health struggles with auto-immune dysfunction nearly ended his life. 
 
For years he had been following conventional treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, leap-frogging from one medication to another. And while he was able to manage his symptoms, over time his health was slipping into steady decline. 
 
In 2012 he realized that if he didn’t make some serious changes, he wasn’t going to live much longer.  He needed to take his health into his own hands. Seamus immersed himself in research on the impact of lifestyle and dietary choices on disease modification. As he began to shift the way he ate, his energy levels increased, his sleep quality and recovery improved and slowly he was able to start to integrate movement and exercise back into his life. Not only did he begin to feel better, but his improvement was reflected in his bio-markers. Over the course of the next year, he monitored his lab results closely and adjusted his diet, movement and recovery along the way, developing a program to optimize his health. 

Within 12 months Seamus had weaned himself off the medications he had been dependent upon for disease management for years, lost over 80 pounds, reversed ALL of the bio-markers for rheumatoid arthritis and reclaimed his birthright to THRIVE!
